Before you begin
- Have a pre-instantiated machine for the correct site and the correct Box. A library template is not a deployed machine.
- Ensure you have the necessary permissions and are familiar with the controller’s connection settings.
Steps
Select the correct installation
During deployment, open the instantiated machines. Check the site, the Box and the machine. From the Cloud, prepare the configuration; the connection to the industrial network is controlled via the Box.
Open the deployment workflow
Select the machine and then click ‘Deploy’ when this option becomes available. Select the connector corresponding to the controller and check its settings.
Control discovery and mapping
Map the variables to the correct components. Check the units, spindles, axes and channels. A successful connection does not guarantee that all expected variables are accessible.
Read through and then start
Please review the wizard’s summary before confirming. Deployment operations remain subject to access controls and platform prerequisites.
Check the data
Check separately that the machine exists, that the controller is connected and that the data collection is providing recent measurements. These three statuses are different.
Expected result
The machine is linked to the correct Box and receipt of its data has been confirmed.
If this does not work
If the controller cannot be reached, check the network, settings and access rights. A simulation result does not prove that the actual connection works.
