Try Lesly in simulation mode

Select a simulation path and check that the demonstration data is actually being received.

Before you begin

  • Have a demo machine set up and access to the deployment.
  • Check that the simulation services are available on the LeslyBox. The Cloud alone does not provide all the services described here.

Steps

  1. Select the machine

Open the deployment, select the site and the prepared machine, then its wizard. Use a demo configuration.

  2. Choose what you want to simulate

A controller labelled SIMULATEUR allows the agent to collect data from test equipment. Data simulation uses a demonstration programme. A discovery fallback may only help with mapping: it does not necessarily start simulated data collection.

  3. Check the variables

Check the components, units and variables provided. If a data programme is provided, select the one that corresponds to your test and check the SIMULATION DE DONNÉES banner.

  4. Start, then check

Complete the wizard and check the result. A machine created with the message ‘simulation de données non démarrée’ is not an active simulation. Check that recent measurements have been received before exploring the indicators.

  5. Complete the trial

Stop the simulation session before switching to live data. Depending on the version, this may require the system integrator’s intervention; do not assume that a stop button is available on every screen.

Expected result

An identified demonstration source, recent data and an explicit test scope. A simulation does not validate the compatibility of your actual machine or a maintenance outcome.

If this does not work

If only discovery is simulated, the actual controller may remain unreachable and data collection may be halted. To collect data on a simulator, select the dedicated simulator controller. If the session fails, have the Box’s services checked.
