Before you begin
- You must have a project and access to the relevant site.
- Distinguish between the technical preparation of the project and the acceptance of the quotation.
Steps
Find the project
Open the deployment and select the project’s Box. The identity panel displays the available quotation action depending on its status.
Request or view the quote
A quote currently being prepared may display ‘Request a quote’. A request that has already been submitted may be pending review. Please refer to the available quote rather than reconstructing the amounts from sample documentation.
Please review the terms and conditions
Please check the hardware, services, licences and recurring terms specified in your quotation. Please report any discrepancies in the scope before acceptance.
Confirm if you are authorised
Once the quotation has been sent and provided your role permits it, the interface will prompt you to approve it. Review the document and follow the signature or acceptance process displayed. A technical administrator is not automatically the signatory for the customer quotation.
Track access provisioning
Once approved, distinguish between ‘Quotation approved’, ‘Access being applied’ and ‘Installation authorised’. An installation stage may remain locked until access has been granted.
Expected result
You are aware of the status and content of your offer, as well as the next authorised action.
If this does not work
A disabled button may indicate an unsent offer, a process currently in progress, or your role. Do not confuse a pre-instantiated machine with a commercially accepted offer.
