Before you begin
- You must have authorisation to install the project and the necessary rights for enrolment.
- Ensure you have access to the physical box and the installation kit corresponding to the release.
Steps
Select the project Box
Open the deployment, then the relevant Box. Check the identity panel and the next action indicated. If access is still being set up after the quote has been approved, please wait for confirmation.
Check the Box ID
Use the Box’s canonical ID as displayed in the panel. Do not replace it with a local ID or the project ID.
Prepare the token
Once the step has been authorised, generate the enrolment token from the dashboard. This is confidential: do not include it in any screenshots, articles or public support messages.
Install on the Box
Follow the instructions on the screen, using the kit for the selected release and the ID of this Box. This step must be carried out on the device to be enrolled; opening the guide or menu will not start the installation.
Check field feedback
After installation, check the enrolment status and the last communication. Compare the information reported with that on the physical Box before continuing with the machines.
Expected result
The Box has been recognised and its connection status is visible. Enrolment does not yet mean that data is being collected from every machine.
If this does not work
A locked step indicates a missing prerequisite or insufficient permissions. If the Box does not come online, check the cloud connectivity and installation logs with the integrator, without disclosing the token.
